He has collaborated with some of the biggest names such as Cody Simpson, Joel Adams, Sheppard and more as well as labels in the Australian and international music scenes, producing hit singles that have earned him a loyal following.

Born and raised in Brisbane, Australia, Magnus Murphy grew up surrounded by the city’s dynamic arts scene. This early exposure ignited Murphy’s passion for music, leading him to experiment with different instruments and sounds from a young age. Starting as a recording and performing artist initially, then through a development process with the Australian Label Empire of Sun and working with Australian A-list producers such as Simon Cohen, Stuart Stuart, and Mitch Kenny, Murphy began writing and producing for other artists and eventually transitioned from being in the spotlight as a recording artist to orchestrating the magic behind the scenes as a music producer.

From producing in Australia to couch surfing in studios after Record label writing session in Los Angeles, Murphy’s big break came when he moved to Stockholm, Sweden’s vibrant music hub, working at some of the top recording studios and publishing companies such as The Kennel (Universal Music Group). Here, he refined his skills and developed a reputation for his meticulous attention to detail and innovative production style.

Magnus Murphy is renowned for his eclectic production style, characterized by rich textures, intricate beats, and a masterful blend of electronic and acoustic elements.
